Advanced Applications 1.4.1 is a maintenance release. It improves compatibility with the upcoming Matador Jobs Pro 4.0 and later, fixes several bugs that could cause fatal errors, and adds security checks to the extension’s admin tools. This release requires PHP 8.2 or later.

What’s changed

  • Matador Jobs Pro 4.0+ compatibility: Fixed how the extension finds the Bullhorn connection on Matador Jobs Pro 4.0 and later. Fetching Candidate fields from Bullhorn now works on every 4.x release, including ones that don’t have the newer metadata API.
  • Field reload fix: Fixed a fatal error that could happen when you reload application fields from Bullhorn.
  • Sorting fix: Fixed a fatal error caused by a faulty ksort call when sorting application fields.
  • Categories: Fixed an issue that stopped categories from working as expected.
  • Security hardening: The “Reload Fields” action and the “all fields required” setting now check user capabilities (manage_options) and verify nonces before they run.
  • Developer note, filter deprecation: On Matador Jobs Pro 4.0+, the matador_default_required_fields filter is deprecated and replaced by matador_application_fields_required_defaults. If you customize default required fields in your own code, switch to the new filter. Sites running versions of Matador Jobs Pro before 4.0 can keep using the old filter.
  • Requirement change: The minimum PHP version is now 8.2. Before you update, check with your host that your site runs PHP 8.2 or later. On older versions, the extension shows an admin notice and won’t load.
